Jeff Nosanov

Jeff Nosanov is a seasoned space industry expert and proposal strategist with over a decade and a half of experience working within and alongside NASA. He has contributed to mission development at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, and NASA Headquarters, supporting a wide range of science and exploration initiatives.
Jeff served as the proposal manager for NASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) mission, scheduled to launch in 2025. His leadership was critical in securing this flagship mission, which will study the boundary of the heliosphere and the interactions between our solar system and the interstellar medium.

In his career, Jeff has helped win over $2 billion in funded government proposals, supporting space missions, advanced technology development, and defense-related programs. He is a three-time recipient of the NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) award for bold mission concepts ranging from solar sails to lunar exploration and interstellar precursor probes.

Jeff is also the first person in the United States to earn an LL.M. in Space and Telecommunications Law, combining legal, technical, and strategic insight into how space programs operate and how companies can align with them. He has served in senior business development roles at Amazon Web Services, where he supported major aerospace and defense initiatives, including billion-dollar satellite procurements.

Through his consulting firm Orbital Velocity Jeff helps startups, research institutions, and established contractors navigate the complex landscape of government funding and NASA procurement. His passion lies in translating visionary ideas into funded, executable programs that push the boundaries of exploration and innovation.
