Adi Wolfson

Adi Wolfson is a poet, an environmental activist, an expert in the field of sustainability and a professor of chemical engineering. Prof. Wolfson is the head of the Office of International Academic Affairs at Sami Shamoon College of Engineering (SCE) in Beer-Sheva, Israel, and the founder of SCE’s Green Processes Center. His research is focused in the fields of green chemistry and engineering and on developing methodologies and models for sustainable services and clean services (CleanServ). Recently Wolfson’s research group presented a novel perspective and a model that defines sustainability as a basic service and as an essential part of each service system. They published various academic papers in the field and a book entitled “Sustainability through Service: Perspectives, Concepts and Examples” (SpringerBriefs in Applied Sciences and Technology). In addition, Prof. Wolfson recently published a book entitled “Sustainable Service” (Business Expert Press). Prof. Wolfson is also consulting the national and local authorities in Israel about sustainability and sustainable development, and collaborates with local communities as well as industries to promote their progression toward sustainability. He serves has a chair of Beer-Sheva’s river park authorities, and often participates in newspaper, TV and radio interviews about environmental issues and writes a “green” column in Israeli’s most important internet news site-YNET.
